We have just got back from a wonderful stay at 2 Bay retreat and I’m so glad we stumbled across your property. Super cosy comfy, squishy beds, warm and well equipped. Thank you for the yummy welcome cake and milk, fluffy towels and spacious rooms. Park itself was lovely and quiet even though summer holidays and the location is gorgeous, we spent the week roaming from one beautiful beach to another, and we look forward to a return visit as soon as we can. Just returned from a fab week at Bay retreat and beautiful Cornwall. The property itself is just perfect. We stayed with our daughter and family kids. The bedrooms are both really big and fitted out with everything you need.
The kitchen has everything you require and more. Sally & Steff are the most friendly and accommodating hosts. They have made their holiday house so homely. They have thought of everything in there and more. I don’t think we have ever stayed anywhere as good and catered for. This is the 2nd stay as we just love the property and the area. There are amazing beaches all around that allow
Dogs apart from one small beach. Lots of facilities and parking at all beaches.
We were lucky to have great weather so did lots of beautiful walks across the headland where you walk across a few beaches.
Close to Padstow as well. Would definitely recommend.

We have just got back from a stay at no.2 Bay Retreat and what a treat it was!
It's bright and airy, really comfy, the bed is comfier than my own bed, I slept so well. 2 adults in the single beds said the same.
The house is equipped with everything you could need and a wonderful welcome pack awaits (gorgeous cake...thank you 😋) and there is a supply of tea and coffee so no need to worry about that first morning, it's all there!
Sally and Stef are the perfect hosts, always ready to help, nothing is too much for them.
Bay Retreat is a couple of miles from some of Cornwall finest beaches and walks and no matter the weather you will always see something different. I recommend the Camel trail cycle ride, it's flat and easy going with stunning views.
I could go on and on but would honestly suggest you try it, you leave feeling sad that you are going and revived from the peace.

Our first stay at Driftwood and wont be our last. We arrived to a clean, well equipped, roomy and airy bungalow that was dog friendly and perfect for our needs, and even had complimentary cake, milk and basic essentials waiting for us. our hosts Sally and Stef were very helpful and accessible if needed.
Great location with numerous facilities both on site and close by if needed> There are numerous beaches and coves nearby and we were there to walk with our dogs and were spoilt for choice when it came to the amount of breath-taking walks and beaches available.
Terrific stay and would highly recommend.

We’ve not been long back from a wonderful break at Driftwood.
The accommodation is well laid out, the kitchen is very well stocked with almost every kitchen implement you can think of. The garden is lovely and the barbecue a real bonus when the weather plays ball!
Overall we had a lovely time, Sally was lovely and the little Cornish treats upon arrival were a lovely touch too.
Would 100% recommend staying with 7 bays and will no doubt be back in the future ourselves.

We stayed at the Bay Retreat last week. We just had the best week. The location is great with 7 sandy bays all within 3 miles and only about 3-4 miles from Padstow where there is another beautiful beach. Bay Retreat is a lovely, spacious 2-bedroom house. Both bedrooms are large with lots of storage. Second bedroom can be turned into a kingside bedroom with additional single bed and still lots of room. The house was lovely decorated with absolutely everything you needed and more so felt like home from home. The owners were just so lovely and made sure you had everything you needed. Milk and a big cake was there on arrival which was very welcome. We took our dog and she was very happy there. The added doggy box with blankets, poo bags etc is a great touch.
We did some amazing coastal walks across all the bays and just loved the scenery, although we were pretty lucky with the weather. Majority of beaches are dog friendly, which is great. We loved Harlyn Bay as got great lunch hut, bar hut so good place to eat after long walks with dog.
We will definitely be going back as cannot beat the area and hospitality of Sally the owner. Just a great place to holiday.

Driftwood review June 2024
Well this is our sixth stay at Sally and Steffs lovely bungalow called Driftwood.
Each year we come it looks as fresh as a daisy, and Sally has altered things around and it continues to be a lovely spacious comfy place.
We first came here as 6 adults but now I’m happy to say there’s a further 4 grandchildren and two dogs . That’s a lot of folk and it accommodates us well .
I actually love the shower that leads off the conservatory as it has a glass roof and to see sunshine and blue sky whilst showering is a delight.
Sally bends over backwards to make your stay great and has shown great flexibility during the Covid years and continues to do so .
We had cot beds where we requested and high chairs wherever we needed them .
There’s plenty of everything here from kitchen utensils crockery glasses towels etc fridges freezer dishwasher washing machine / dryer, even has a car charging point, in fact it has the Jewson lot.
I still feel sad when we leave so for me that says a lot, I hope any reader gives it a try u won’t be disappointed.

We have just had the best time staying in Driftwood. Just over 2 years ago we stayed in Sands so we knew it would be just as perfect.
Everything you would ever need for a break is already in the bungalow. It’s super spacious and clean.
Despite pretty rubbish weather we were on the beaches everyday and midway through our break rebooked for next year.
The location is really ideal - we popped back to Driftwood most lunchtimes for the children and dog to rest before heading back out again in the afternoon. All of the beaches are within a 10 minute drive.

Fantastic stay.
Always made welcome by the hosts, who go above and beyond to ensure our holidays are special.
Accommodation is lovely and clean.
Location is great as it is near to lots of lovely beaches, costal walks and child friendly activities.
We have been holidaying with them for over 20 years.
Highly recommend you take the opportunity to experience, a real home from home. Those extra special touches; cake, milk tea and coffee making facilities on arrival make all the difference.

Lovely cottage, really comfortable, cake coffee and milk on arrival were a lovely touch, everything we needed and little shop on the site which we used for milk. Close to beautiful bays and lots of great walking on the coast path. Fabulous restaurant in the village. Lots of nearby geocaches too.

We have just got home from 10 days in 2 Bay Retreat. The property is amazing and has everything you need. There is even a doggy basket with treats, towel, bowls along with other things you may need for your 4 legged friend. We took our 2 Frenchies,Sally made it clear she was available for anything we needed. Highly recommended 😁😁

July 2023 - We’ve just returned from a very hectic but enjoyable week at Driftwood with the family.
There were 6 happy adults 3 active grandchildren 2 energetic dogs but no sign of a partridge in a pear tree lol.
We reckon this is the fifth time we’ve holidayed here and it’s as fresh as the very first time we came .
In fact we actually found something that driftwood didn’t have and had quite a laugh with Sally and Steff , it was a rolling pin.
With the lawns all neat and B B Q working, well all I can say is that if Carling did holiday accommodation it would be something like this. Hats off to you both it was lovely break.

We've just returned from 2 Bay Retreat, and it is honestly the nicest holiday accommodation we've ever stayed in!
Absolutely everything you could think of and more has been provided for your stay, from a chocolate cake, to a pint of milk in the fridge, dog treats and towels.
The beds are soooo comfortable, I think they must be memory foam. We loved the super soft Egyptian cotton towels after our shower too.
The beaches are just gorgeous. Our little dog had such fun chasing a ball at Harlyn Bay.
I would recommend the Tide Climbing Centre to keep kids and adults alike busy if the weather doesn't play ball. Very reasonably priced, you can stay all day, and they are dog friendly.
All in all, a wonderful place to stay. Sally and Stef are great hosts. We will be back!

Just arrived home from a fabulous week, staying at Sands. Although we have been to St Merryn before, this was our first time at this home.. immediately we felt comfortable and at home, the little touches from cake on arrival and milk in the fridge, the little dog tags for Ernie the pooch and toys and blankets (for humans too)! Great position on the site and just the perfect location for pretty much anywhere you wanted to visit. Thank you Sally & Stef..just lovely xx

Driftwood 22-26 May 2023. Many thanks from all of us to Sally and Stef. Driftwood has all that anyone needs for a lovely, comfortable holiday. It's spacious and very clean and well presented. The local area is superb with excellent beaches and walks. St Merryn is small but has a superb Chinese takeaway and a bakers that makes the best pasties. All in all a wonderful place to stay. 5 stars from us and the dogs Stan and Eddie.
